Liang Hu is a Tenured Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His primary research focuses on optical time-frequency transmission systems and their applications, silicon photonics-integrated time-frequency transfer, ultra-stable lasers, optical frequency combs, and related devices and systems. He has authored 33 SCI-indexed papers in prestigious journals such as Physical Review Letters, among which 15 are first-author or corresponding-author papers. His work has garnered over 460 citations on Google Scholar, with a single paper receiving up to 125 citations. Notably, a first-author paper published in Physical Review Letters was selected as an Editors' Suggestion. He holds 28 granted Chinese and international invention patents.

As the principal investigator or a key participant, Dr.Hu has been involved in more than 10 national and ministerial research projects. These include projects related to National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure, the Key International Cooperation Program and the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and defense-related projects. Under his supervision, his graduate students have received multiple honors, including the National Scholarship and distinctions such as Shanghai and University-level Outstanding Graduate Awards.
