Yu Li is an Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She received his B.S. degree in Optoelectronic Information Science and Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2011 and her Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2016.

Dr. Li has authored 24 papers in leading international photonics journals and conferences, including 10 first-author publications, and holds 3 international patents. Her work was recognized with the Best Paper Award at the 2015 Asia Communications and Photonics Conference (ACP).

From 2016 to 2019, Dr. Li served as a Research Scientist in the Nano-Photonics Laboratory at the Institute of Microelectronics (IME), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore. Subsequently, from 2019 to 2022, she worked as a Principal Engineer in the Silicon Photonics R&D Department at Marvell Technology. She joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in September 2022.

Dr.Li primary research focuses on large-scale, high-speed silicon photonic integrated circuits for optical communications, silicon photonics platform process development, and high-speed silicon photonic devices.
