Weihan Xu received his Ph.D. and is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on silicon-based integrated LiDAR. He was awarded the prestigious OFC Corning Outstanding Student Paper Award in 2022.

During his doctoral studies, Dr. Xu published 7 first-author papers indexed by SCI/EI and delivered three oral presentations at top-tier international optics conferences. Supported by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) 27th Research Institute, he has been involved in two complete chip design and fabrication runs. His research has led to the filing of 11 patent applications, including 4 international patent applications and 4 granted Chinese invention patents.

His academic excellence has been recognized through multiple scholarships, including the Huawei Scholarship, Guanghua Scholarship, and the Outstanding Graduate Scholarship from the State Key Laboratory of Optical Fiber. He is currently continuing his research as a postdoctoral fellow.
